Paragol N mit dem Wirkstoff Paraffinöl ist ein Abführmittel, welches den Stuhl aufweicht, gleitfähig macht und die Darmbewegung anregt. All dies führt zu einem verbesserten und normalen Stuhlgang. Es ist unbedingt erforderlich, dass Sie bei der Anwendung von Paragol N auch viel Flüssigkeit zu sich nehmen.
Paragol N dient zur Behandlung von gelegentlicher Verstopfung. Eine Behandlung soll auf keinen Fall über 10 Tage dauern und sollte nur durchgeführt werden, nachdem eine Umstellung der Ernährung auf vorwiegend faserstoffhaltige Nahrungsbestandteile (Gemüse, Früchte) fehlgeschlagen ist.
Es kann kurzfristig auch bei Erkrankungen, die einen erleichterten Stuhlgang erfordern (z.B. Hämorrhoiden, Darmausgangserkrankungen) angewendet werden.
Paragol N darf auf keinen Fall bei schweren Erkrankungen im Unterleib (Blinddarmentzündung, Darmverkrampfungen und schweren Bauchschmerzen) eingenommen werden.
Auch bei bekannter Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber dem Wirkstoff oder einem der Hilfsstoffe soll von einer Einnahme abgesehen werden.
Paragol N darf nur gelegentlich und nicht länger als 10 Tage eingenommen werden. Langzeitbehandlungen gehören unter ärztliche Kontrolle.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
Vorsichtshalber sollten Sie während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit möglichst auf Arzneimittel verzichten.
Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder es werden möchten, sollten Sie Paragol N ausschliesslich nach Rücksprache mit dem Arzt bzw. der Ärztin einnehmen.
Während der Stillzeit sollte das Arzneimittel abgesetzt oder abgestillt werden.
Wenn vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin nicht anders verordnet:
3-9 Messlöffel (= 15-45 ml) vor dem Schlafengehen, wenn nötig morgens nüchtern die gleiche Dosis.
Anwendung nur auf ärztliche Verordnung.
1-3 Messlöffel (= 5-15 ml) - je nach Alter - vor dem Schlafengehen.
Vor Gebrauch soll Paragol N gut geschüttelt werden. Es darf nur in aufrechter Körperhaltung eingenommen werden.
Erhöhen Sie nicht die Dosis, wenn das Arzneimittel nicht unmittelbar nach der Einnahme wirkt. Die Wirkung setzt in der Regel 6-8 Stunden später ein, also erst am nächsten Morgen.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme von Paragol N auftreten:
Bei längerdauernder und hochdosierter Anwendung kann es zu einem Mangel an fettlöslichen Vitaminen sowie zu einem Flüssigkeits- und Salzverlust kommen. Bei hoher Dosierung sind zudem häufig das Durchsickern von ParaffinöI aus dem Anus sowie selten Juckreiz im Analbereich möglich.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) aufbewahren.
Ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren.
