Anastrozol Actavis enthält den Wirkstoff Anastrozol. Dieser hemmt das Enzym Aromatase, welches an der Produktion der weiblichen Geschlechtshormone den Östrogenen beteiligt ist. Das Enzym spielt v.a. bei der Östrogenbildung nach den Wechseljahren eine Rolle. Unter Behandlung mit Anastrozol Actavis kommt es zu einer Senkung der Östrogene auf sehr tiefe Werte und damit zu einem verminderten Wachstumsreiz auf die Krebszellen bei Brustkrebs. Anastrozol Actavis wird bei Frauen nach den Wechseljahren zur Behandlung beim fortgeschrittenen Brustkrebs eingesetzt.
Anastrozol Actavis darf nur auf Verschreibung und unter ständiger Kontrolle eines Arztes oder einer Ärztin verwendet werden.
Anastrozol Actavis darf nicht von schwangeren oder stillenden Frauen eingenommen werden.
Bei bekannter Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber dem Wirkstoff oder einem der Hilfsstoffe darf Anastrozol Actavis nicht angewendet werden.
Unter der Behandlung mit Anastrozol Actavis kann es zu Schwäche und Schläfrigkeit kommen. Deshalb ist bei der Teilnahme am Strassenverkehr und der Bedienung von Maschinen Vorsicht geboten.
Anastrozol Actavis soll nicht bei Frauen vor den Wechseljahren d.h. wenn sie noch Monatsblutungen haben, oder bei Kindern und Jugendlichen angewendet werden.
Informieren Sie bitte Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin, wenn Sie an Leber- oder Nierenerkrankungen leiden.
Anastrozol Actavis senkt die Blutspiegel der Östrogene (siehe «Was ist Anastrozol Actavis und wann wird es angewendet?»). Dies kann zu einer Abnahme des Knochenmineralgehaltes führen, was die Knochenstärke verringern und deshalb das Risiko für Knochenbrüche erhöhen könnte.
Sie sollten gleichzeitig mit Anastrozol Actavis keine Arzneimittel einnehmen, welche Östrogene enthalten, da diese die Wirkung von Anastrozol Actavis aufheben würden.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an andern Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbst gekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
Anastrozol Actavis darf nicht während der Schwangerschaft oder der Stillzeit eingenommen werden.
Die übliche Dosierung beträgt 1 Filmtablette (= 1 mg) pro Tag unabhängig von den Mahlzeiten. Nehmen Sie die ganze Filmtablette immer zur gleichen Tageszeit mit einem Glas Wasser ein.
Die Dauer der Behandlung mit Anastrozol Actavis wird von Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin festgelegt.
Falls Sie an einem Tag vergessen haben, die Filmtablette einzunehmen, sollten Sie dies nicht nachholen, sondern nehmen Sie am darauf folgenden Tag die nächste Filmtablette zur üblichen Zeit ein. Falls Sie mehr als die vorgeschriebene Dosis eingenommen haben, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin konsultieren.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme von Anastrozol Actavis auftreten:
Aufgrund der Verminderung der im Körper zirkulierenden weiblichen Geschlechtshormone, den Östrogenen, können sehr häufig Hitzewallungen, häufig Vaginaltrockenheit sowie leichter Haarausfall und in den ersten paar Behandlungswochen Vaginalblutungen auftreten.
Im Weiteren wurde über folgende Nebenwirkungen berichtet:
Sehr häufig: Kopfschmerzen, Übelkeit, Stimmungsschwankungen, Erschöpfung/Müdigkeit, Schwäche, Muskel-/Knochenbeschwerden, Knochenbrüche, Gelenkschmerzen/-steifigkeit, Arthritis, Hautausschläge.
Häufig: Schläfrigkeit, allergische Reaktionen, Karpaltunnelsyndrom (Schwund der Daumenballenmuskulatur mit Sensibilitätsstörungen in der Hand und den Fingern aufgrund eines Druckes auf den Nerv), Sensibilitätsstörungen wie Gefühlslosigkeit und oder Prickeln der Haut, Verlust des Geschmackssinns oder mangelnder Geschmackssinn, Durchfall, Erbrechen, Erhöhung des Cholesterols im Blut, Appetitlosigkeit, Trübung der Augenlinse, Blutgerinnselbildung in den Venen, Gehirn-/Herz-Kreislauf-Erkrankungen, Scheidenausfluss, Knochenschmerzen, Muskelschmerzen, Erhöhung des Kalziums im Blut. Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin, falls Sie Übelkeit und/oder Erbrechen bekommen. Dies sind die Symptome eines erhöhten Kalziumwertes im Blut. Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin wird möglicherweise mit einer Blutuntersuchung bestimmen. ob Sie einen erhöhten Kalziumwert im Blut haben.
Gelegentlich: Veränderung von Leberwerten, Entzündung der Leber, schnellender Finger, Nesselfieber. Falls Sie sich schwach oder schläfrig fühlen, fragen Sie bitte Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin um Rat.
Selten und sehr selten: Schwere allergische Reaktionen mit Blutdruckabfall und Atembeschwerden, schwerwiegende Hautreaktionen mit Verletzungen, Geschwür- oder Bläschenbildung. Allergische Reaktionen mit Schwellungen im Gesicht, der Lippen, Zunge und/oder Kehle (Angioödem), welche zu Schluck- und/oder Atemschwierigkeiten führen können, Hautausschlag aufgrund einer Entzündung der kleinen Blutgefässe der Haut.
Nehmen Sie sofort Kontakt mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin auf, wenn Sie solche Reaktionen bei sich feststellen.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Anastrozol Actavis muss für Kinder unerreichbar gelagert werden.
Es ist in der Originalverpackung nicht über 30 °C aufzubewahren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP:» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
